Brighton

Brighton is always an experience.
As soon as we got into town we headed straight for the Royal Pavilion, which was built by King George IV while he was still the Prince of Wales.  You can find more information about the Pavilion's history at  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Pavilion

We then visited Brighton Beach which, as the children found out, is a pebble beach, no sand at all.

We directed our steps towards Redland's usual eating spot called Simply the Best Fish and Chips restaurant on Brighton Beach, where we had a taste of this traditional English meal.

Next, we visited the centre of the city and the children had the opportunity to buy some souvenirs or, in some cases, to continue eating.
Finally, we retraced our steps and set foot on Brighton Pier.  The Chilean Expeditionary Force assaulted the position with gusto.  Here are some pictures.

And, to close this post, here's a short video we took last night when the children worked on building their own rollercoasters:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8dBWo2e7qIs&feature=youtu.be
